New Congress to Contact

Today is the first day of the new congressional session, the 113th US Congress.

I know many of you have expressed concern with Senator Feinstein’s intended gun grabbing campaign. Today is a perfect day to contact your senators and congressmen.

Senator Toomey represents everyone in PA at the senate level. He can be reached at 855-552-1831. I believe this is a toll free call from within PA.

Typically Toomey’s phone is answered on the first ring or two by one of his staffers.

Senator Casey also represents everyone in PA at the senate level. The number I have for Casey is for his DC office. 202-224-6324. Typically for Casey you’ll be greeted by an automated message system, press 1 to voice your opinions. This will usually mean leaving a message for his staffers.

Rothfus represents the Pennsylvania 12th district in the US House, which happens to be my home turf. The number I have for him was the number he was campaigning with, and which appears to still be valid. 724-602-0277.

This morning when I called all three, Toomey had a staffer answering the phone, Casey was accepting voice mail as he usually does, and Rothfus’s number also rang through to an opportunity to leave voice mail.

Introduce yourself, identify the issue you are calling about as possible gun grabbing legislation by Feinstein (pronounced Fine-Stine), acknowledge that when she introduced similar legislation in 1994 the biggest effect was the early retirement of many of its supporters, and let your representative know that you fully back him fighting against Feinstein.

You might also mention approval of the NRA’s project School Shield.

I called all three this morning in less than 5 minutes. Call early and call often.

God bless!
Chris
