The second amendment and gun owners scored a victory today. The US Senate rejected a proposed law to increase paper work and restrict firearm transfers between friends and family members.

Perhaps more importantly this sends a signal to the leadership of our nation that it is time to start enforcing the laws that already exist.

This debate is likely to resurface again in the near future. Those trying to layer more control on law abiding citizens are not going to give up. If you haven’t already, please contact your Senator and let them know that they are sworn to uphold the Constitution, Second Amendment and all.
